Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Tips

There are a number of things you can do to clean without harming the environment or yourself. Here is my list of cleaners ... and take notice that on a personal basis, I do not use amonia... many people swear by it and it is very effective as a cleanser... but the fumes take me back to being a girl and having my little brothers convince me that they had sweet 'perfume' in a bottle... and I took a big sniff... WAH WAH WAH... don't worry... I did get them back... after all... what big sister would let a cute little trick like that go unpaid.

IF you do decide to use amonia... be sure to never ever mix it (and I mean never) with bleach - they will create dangerous fumes. If you must use ammonia, always have ventilation. Oh.... and never use Vinegar with Bleach... same problem.. dangerous fumes.

• Look out salad... half of your dressing is going down the sink. Uses for vinegar
• Baking Soda... out of the cake and into the what?? Uses for baking soda
• You mean lemons are good for more than lemonade?? Uses for lemons
• Borax??? Didn't Grandma use that? Uses for Borax

Vinegar removes mildew, stains, and wax buildup. Use it to clean coffeepots, glass, paintbrushes, grout, windows and fireplaces.

Pure Soap cleans everything from dishes to cars.
